2025 Millisle & District Somme Society Annual Remembrance Parade

On Saturday 26th July 2025, we held our annual Millisle & District Somme Society Remembrance parade.
There was a fantastic turnout in the village to support all bands, somme societies and associations, loyal orders, apprentice boys and local representatives on parade.
A special thanks to Nicky from Point East Battlefield Tours for his continued support and speech at the memorial.
Our standards were tied with black mourning ribbon and all members of Millisle & District Somme Society wore black armbands as a mark of respect to our recent late member, Freddy 'The Painter' Hope.
